Sunday June 1 (which is the weekend after Memorial Day weekend) is the Grand Old Day Parade on Grand
Avenue in St Paul. The Science Museum is planning to have a promotion for the upcoming Star Wars exhibit and of course would like lots of Star Wars characters
to participate in the parade.

Here is the latest info:
Line up at 9am, parade starts at 10am. This is a change from the original post.
Parade route starts at Fairview and ends at Dale - 2.5 miles. Grand Ave and all side streets are closed at 7:45am. Carpooling is recommended as parking is not provided.
Parade is held rain or shine. Someone from SMM will meet us at our line up location - #54. During line-up, all participants should stay as close to the curb as possible to allow other units to pass by to get to their place. There will be no float, so all participants need to walk.the 2.5 miles.
During the parade, keep gaps between units to a minimum. There will be traffic stops at the corners of Lexington and Snelling. A car with an intern from SMM will follow us with water. Parade dispersal is on the Grand Hill. Since this is the museum entry in the parade, we should probably not carry any banners with us.

For "special characters," John Schroeder has signed up as Boba Fett, and Chad and I have to arm-wrestle for the Vader slot.
