Quickie Project |
Lead | |

I'm thinking about doing a quickie soft costume between now and DragonCon. Right now the leading cantidates are A) Imperial Officer or B) Tusken Raider.
Let me know what you think.

tusken is easier for those lacking sewing skill (like me) the ammo pouches are the most expensive part, at about $50 each, otherwise it is a relatively cheap
project. I am willing to lend a hand. Plus I think I have a bunch of extra supplies lying around.

What? No Jar Jar?
Both would be cool. I think your visibility in the Tusken would be even less than your Scout or Clone.

Imperial Officer is no quickie project - trust me.

Well, after much consideration (about 30 minutes), I've decided that I'm going to do the Tusken Raider next.
Matt, I will definately take you up on your offer of help. Let me know what materials you've got leftover and we can work out a deal. Once I've got everything assembled, this sounds like a good project for working on during some Craft nights this summer.

one suggestion I have is to add clips onto your bin to hold your Gaffi stick...so that way you'll always have it with your outfit...just saying...

Wouldn't you just store your plunger by the toilet.

I have the stuff to make the eyes, tusks and head spikes too... but I have always wanted to upgrade to more accurate stuff. So maybe you want to start with the good stuff rather than highlighter markers and wooden dowels... I am pretty sure you can get nice resin parts for around $50 and you can go full aluminum for around $100. Let me know what your thinking and I can point you in the right direction. |

this is probably more than what you're wanting...but I just saw it so I thought I'd pass it along. If you are interested and not a member of The

Brian, that's sweet looking but a lot more than I want to sink into the entire project itself.

yeah, figured it was overkill for what you were wanting to do...but it is a sweet mask!

have you figured out what you're going to do for pouches? I haven't shopped about, but this site looks like it has pretty good replica's of WWII pouches: http://www.tridentmilitary.com/German-WW2/Field-Gear-Boots.html |
