This will be our 4th annual MN Force camping excursion. It will be the 3rd year at Crowhassan, unless someone wants to suggest another venue. We'll start
planning in earnest once we get into July & August.

Yup. Chad brought his pup last year. Crowhassan is actually primarily a Horse/Dog/Canoe campers park anyway. It is nice and close though, just south of
Rogers, and we've enjoyed the site and the setting.

Depending on how many people show up, we may have to go with the double size Bacon X-Plosion. How does everyone feel about some diced Jalapeno for the center
(along with the crumbled bacon, onion and BBQ sauce)?
Steve, can you keep a fire going for 6 hours? It may take that long to cook this beast.

I'm more of a fan of serano peppers...they have a nice taste and plenty of hotness and don't seem to burn when...you know, you're done...

I reserved River Site 1 at Crow-Hassan (same site as last two years). The total
reservation for two nights was $64.38. I think one year, my family covered the reservation and other people got the food. One year, we all went in on food
and folks reimbursed part of the reservation fee to me. I'm fine with either way.

Does anyone have one of those self-standing tarp/gazebo thingies? If not I may have to look into one at Sam's Club.
I got a recipe this week for omelets in a ziplock back. It looks like you just put two eggs and your other desired ingredients in the bag, and boil it in water for 12 minutes. I think if we do that and the mini cinimon rolls (open fire baked, of course) we'll be eating pretty good. Any thoughts? As for the question about whether I can keep a fire going for six hours... I recall grilling through the rainstorm last year. I think we'll be ok. The only problem is if they start cracking down on bringing in other firewood. I don't know if what they leave for us will be enough for 6 hours of cooking.

I and Katsu are totally DOWN for this! As for how to reimburse Steve I am open. As we get a little closer we can perhaps divvy up who brings what for each of the meals? I have also seen that Omlette inna Bag deal, and I have heard it works pretty well! Those would be great

I ended up getting a 10x10 pop up canopy. We tested it in a thunderstorm at Baker Park 2 weeks ago. It was a very good thing to have.

haha, I'm still bringing my canopy dang it, I bought it for last seasons Vikings tailgaters and my buddy had also bought one, but since his had the Vikings
logo we went with his...so I have yet to use mine
