Hey Everyone! I have been contacted by the Minor League team in Mankato ... they are interested in having us down for an 'Event'

UPDATE #1

We will theme the entire night Star Wars - we would like you to be around when the gates open and mingle with the fans and have someone from your group throw out a first pitch - during the game we will include you in all of our onfield promotions and games. We would love for you to be as involved as possible.

As for tickets - obviously anyone participating from your group in costumes won't have to pay for tickets, if you have friends and family wanting to attend that don't dress up we will have $3 general admissions tickets for them- we will just need an approximate head count prior to the game. Parking is always free.

We have large bays below the stadium that we usually use for events like this when people need to change - we can close and lock the big garage door when no one is in there. We will have beverages in there for you guys when you need to take breaks.

Thats about ALL I know at this time ... that and we are shooting for the 27th. I am going to initially see who is interested in making the trek.

As details become clearer I will of course post them up!

Update #2:

The game is June 27th and the time is 7:05pm. Gates open at 6:00pm so I would say if you get here around 6:15 to get dressed and prepared that would be perfect.

Over on the CG site the idea of Carpooling has been brought up! I would encourage it here as well ... I am still a tentative Vader for this event. My employment/economic situation needs to be dealt with prior to things of this nature ... please excuse my temporary fixation on the real world!

Can you get us info on where the game is? Mankato is not as big as the Cities, but too big to drive around looking for baseball fields! I'm definitely in for this.

The gates open at 6 so I plan on being dressed and ready by then.... haven't dressed up for an event in over 9 months so I'm looking forward to this

Unless we have a TK coming down, I'll probably wear mine.... stormtroopers are more recognizable than Boba Fett and look good with Vader.... any thoughts?

Ed, Brian & I are leaving the Cities around 4'ish! I am doing Vader-Lite (no Electrics) so my dress time is shorter! I will also be Quadruple-Checking to make sure I have EVERYTHING in my bin!

I think we have a couple Jedi, Vader, a TK and Ed was contemplating his TIE v X-wing ???

The following is from my contact Jessie at the Ball Park ... John & Karen if you get there b4 us ask for Jessie!

We are excited to have you out for a game! We will probably have one of your group throw out a first pitch and that usually takes place around 6:45 so if you could be here by then that would be awesome. The gates open at 6 so people will be ready for you then. When you get to the park just ask for me and I can get you all set up with an area to get changed and will have some water and stuff in there for you too.

Let me know if you need anything else! We should have a packed house on Saturday!
