One of my favorite parts is when Ben starts singing in the higher HE (Helium) atmosphere of Dorian.

I've only got 50 pages left, but so far I'm underwhelmed. It is like they are trying to bring back a bunch of old characters and put them in far
fetched scenes. The whole thing on Kessel....why would Han & Leia really be called and go into danger?? Lando has enough $$ to take care of things and
hire in pros, I find it hard to believe Han & Leia can do better...but of course they do!! Luke and his travels with Ben are fun. Ben really is spunky!!
Luke being exiled if far fetched though...I'd rather have seen it that Luke is just determined to find out what happened to Jacen and the GA is after him
to do so....the whole court things stupid IMO.
I felt the same way about Betrayal, so I'm not concerned with the series yet. LOTF took me about 4-5 books to really get caught up in the plot and the big action to really start hopping...

Good artwork Seeker! I would pay for a sequence of Luke taking steps toward The Hidden One through his force wind & lightning storm! I love that Luke can use the force to make himself immovable ala The Swarm War! Ben's detective work was great! A good start to a series in my opinion.

Thanks Matt, I did know the 'reason' why they went. What I was pointing to is it was kind of weak IMO. Guess my point did not come across right in
typing.
I finished the book yesterday and was disappointed in the ending. Luke pointing out what is wrong with another culture and 'correcting' them. I do like BEN as a character...he is really developing into a funny teen!!! I just hope each of these next books is not Ben & Luke visiting another force sect and pointing out their flaws and changing them for the 'better'. I know no one else agrees with me, but I get sick of Luke always being a good guy sitting back...I like to see him in action, like in the later LotF books...kicking butt and flying ships. I was more excited to read the first few chapters of Omen at the end of the book....I think we will finally get into a story plot more with these sith!! PS...nice artwork Jediseeker!!

I agree with you Jenny about Luke and Ben going to different places and Luke correcting the wrong. that could get very repetitive. I also think Ben's
character is developing wonderfully and I'm very curious what kind of man he will turn into after the series.
I have not read the sneak peek for omen yet. I think I will drive myself crazy with anticipation if I do read them. Also thanks for taking the time to look at my art work. I love to get feed back.

I agree with you both. If Luke and Ben "Hyperspace" throughout the galaxy retracing Jacen's steps toward the "Dark Side of the Force"
and end up correcting all the badness he encountered. It will suck.
BTW- Retracing somebodys fall to evil seems a dangerous mission to me.

 . It was good! I am looking forward to Omen. I think it will be a darker book than Outcast. As most of you know, I like darker books
(Traitor, Shatterpoint). Bring on the darkness ! lol

I really enjoyed this book. It was a good set up for the series. I was over the moon with all the older characters, ei. the Horns, Winter, etc., showing up.
I was just wondering why none of the Wraiths showed up. Seems like they could have abducted Seff, but Jaina and her co-horts did a good job. I can't wait
for Omen to come out. The Sith that showed up briefly in LOTF will finally come back. I guess this will be the start of the resurgence that comes about by
the Legacy comis.
However, I could have done without the Kessel parts. It was like they didn't know what to do with Han and Leia. I think whatever was communicating/scaring Allana is the real villian of the series. |

What happens in Legacy comics? I have not read them....are there new sith??
I like the thought of new sith for a change rather then the same old 'good characters turn dark' (Kyp, Jacen, Alema, Luke (comic), Anakin, Dooku, etc.) This to me would bring more of the first Bane book feel back into the series!! I agree...I'm excited for the series...even if I did not care much for the book.

Hey Jenny There are new Siths and one REALLY old one and your right it dose have a feel to the old Sith order. I like the thought of having new Sith and not
good turned evil as well. I also believe this new Sith would have come from the group that Alema found in LOF series (the exact book has escaped my mind).
