I settled a vacation discrepency with HR. I found two more days. Now I plan to kick back from 12/24 thru 1/4. That's like being back in school!

So for a christmas present I took my dad to the Trans-siberian orchestra concert. Blew my ear drums. had to finish a report for eng. when my star wars insider
came (talk about a distraction!). only to make matters worse, my cat jumps on the wood stove, burned three of his paws. vet bill was a nice present from him.
lol
 then batman arrives! I really REALLY can't wait for classes to end! AHH!

Bad news-I'm not available for Fanboys if we can get it to the Cities. Good news-Northfield High School won the regional High School Music Listening
contest yesterday, so we'll be at State on Feb. 6th!

I'm really liking my new job. I've been hear about 2 1/2 months now, and I can tell I'm transitioning from "Newbie" to "Starting to
Function and make a few contributions".
It was a leap of faith leaving my other job after 21 years, but this was a great opportunity.

Hoorah for new changes!
I just moved to a new student apartment at school and away from my messy, passive-agressive roommate. It's been in the works for almost 3 months, and finally I don't feel like I'm trapped or walking on egg-shells any more. It's beautiful! And I can work on costumes without fear of her glaring at me for making noise. Yay! |

Best Buy is announcing layoffs at corporate on Thursday of this week. So I'll either be posting here or on the Yay! thread (assuming I can dig it up)
depending on the outcome. Here's hoping the force is with me this week at work.

I'm not sure I'll check tomorrow when I go in. I know they laid off some project managers.
