Late to the game again, but I finally read this. For better or for worse, I liked it.

I like Ben's comic relief. And it's nice to see Luke taking more of a main stage, after all the non-action he took and all the hand-wringing he did in NJO and half of LotF.

I enjoy the character of Jaina. She was kinda cool in NJO, then not so much, then I absolutely hated her character in Dark Nest, but by the time she started training with the Mandos in LotF I started to warm up...

I hope this series gets better. Usually I like the books in this era no matter what, but... Parts of the book were good--I like the political intrigue and finding out what Jacen was up to (though I didn't care about the Kel Dor so much)--and parts of the book were a bit boring. The whole Han and Leia plot I could have done without, the only possible connection I can see to a future book is that voice Allana heard.
I agree with TB4587 about Lando being a quasi-drug dealer. That one...

I'm about 1/2 way throught Outcast now. Good so far.

One question though, when did Lando and Nien Nunb become the largest drug dealers in the galaxy and why doesn't this seem to bother anyone?

I don't remember the book either from Lot with the sith Alema foundF...but she found them on a planet...wasn't the Tuscan Jedi their leader...Hett??

Hey Jenny There are new Siths and one REALLY old one and your right it dose have a feel to the old Sith order. I like the thought of having new Sith and not good turned evil as well. I also believe this new Sith would have come from the group that Alema found in LOF series (the exact book has escaped my mind).

I really enjoyed this book. It was a good set up for the series. I was over the moon with all the older characters, ei. the Horns, Winter, etc., showing up. I was just wondering why none of the Wraiths showed up. Seems like they could have abducted Seff, but Jaina and her co-horts did a good job. I can't wait for Omen to come out. The Sith that showed up briefly in LOTF will finally come back. I guess this will be the start of the resurgence that comes about by the Legacy comis....

Yep, I read it I-Five . It was good! I am looking forward to Omen. I think it will be a darker book than Outcast. As most of you know, I like darker books (Traitor, Shatterpoint). Bring on the darkness! lol

I agree with you both. If Luke and Ben "Hyperspace" throughout the galaxy retracing Jacen's steps toward the "Dark Side of the Force" and end up correcting all the badness he encountered. It will suck.

BTW- Retracing somebodys fall to evil seems a dangerous mission to me.

I agree with you Jenny about Luke and Ben going to different places and Luke correcting the wrong. that could get very repetitive. I also think Ben's character is developing wonderfully and I'm very curious what kind of man he will turn into after the series.

I have not read the sneak peek for omen yet. I think I will drive myself crazy with anticipation if I do read them.

Also thanks for taking the time to look at my art work. I love...

Thanks Matt, I did know the 'reason' why they went. What I was pointing to is it was kind of weak IMO. Guess my point did not come across right in typing.

I finished the book yesterday and was disappointed in the ending. Luke pointing out what is wrong with another culture and 'correcting' them. I do like BEN as a character...he is really developing into a funny teen!!! I just hope each of these next books is not Ben & Luke visiting another force sect and...

Lando needed a Jedi to figure out the Kessel problem. Leia figured out what needed to be done by communicating with the "Bogey's". Lando did hire...
