I've only been keeping up with the Knights of the Old Republic arc. I really like it for the story, but there are some artists that rotate through that I'm not a fan of at all. Granted, KOTOR is the era I love best. I think what they did with Vector was really interesting, but it kind of felt like a stall in the plot line of the KOTOR comics, at least, in order to start another arc.

I was never able to get through Planet of Twilight. I think that one had Leia having a light saber duel with a Hutt.

Boy, I have no recollection of The Crystal Star. I own it, and recall that I would put it in the same category as Children of the Jedi and Planet of Twilight, but the plot was absolutely unmemorable. Whas that the one where they painted the Falcon purple?

Is Mindor worse than the Crystal Star? I never read the Crystal Star because of all the horror storys I heard about it. It seemed to be the most popular choice for worst book in the EU before Mindor came crashing down from the unknown regions lol.

I totally agree with you Steve!! I'd have been a bit burned out of buying books had I purchased Shadows I can find it in the mega-super-nobody wants clearence rack for $1 any day now to add it to my collection

I've started using mine for the SW books just like you do Jenny. It just pissed me off soooo much that I paid money for Shadows of Mindor.

I'll continue buying comics, but I think I'll only buy books if there is a chance I'll ever reread them. Or if they're from Zahn or Traviss, 'cause that makes the reread much more lilely.

The Vector series is supposed to have a major impact on all the story lines it touches on. I've yet to get the first volume. I'll probably wait till after I move to order. I have enough stuff to pack anyway. lol

Thanks for the info on the comics!! We were just talking about them in the Outcast thread and how the new book series might tie into the comics. My library has all of the comics...I should start to read them...

They are publishing a comic that takes place during the NJO era!? I cannot wait for that one. I'll have to look for info on that one. I've been reading the Legacy graphic novels. There are just so many comics, I just pick and choose which series to read. My brother has started buying the Knights of the Old Republic graphic novels, so I'll borrow his. So many books to read, so little time!

Here's a little 411 I put together on the current state of Star Wars comic books.

First we'll talk about Legacy. Takes place 130 years ABY. This one is by far my favorite.

I love how the lines seem to be more blurred in Legacy than in any other Star Wars comic (or movie for that mater). You don't just have good vs. evil; the light vs. the dark. You have the bad guys, the Imperials (and Imperial Knights), who seems to be mostly using the light side of the Force....
