If anyone comes across a beat up Boba Fett helmet on the cheap let me know. After much soul searching, I think the chicken suit is now destined for this:

It's actually the wrong color (my suit is white) but I think people will still get it.

I finally got some decent boots for Maul. They are not the original, screen acurate Frank Thomas Aqua Leather, but the overall design is very similar.

Commander Bly Clone

Most of you have already seen it at Zoo Boo or in photos, but for those who haven't, here's my Commander Bly costume. There's still much work to do in the weathering department but I'm very pleased with the progress so far. Special thanks to Kevin Doyle for all his work.

Jedi or Sith

Probably Sith, since it's an all black costume.

As I mentioned in another thread, I'm pretty sure this costume is not acceptable by either RL or 501. I know RL accepts "generic" Jedi, but I'm not sure all black will cut the mustard. And I am pretty sure 501 does not accept "generic" Sith. But it's a pretty cool costume and I'm proud of it nontheless.

A.) Prefer to be totally surprised. --- Like when Steve just suddenly showed up in his at CONvergence.

B.) Prefer to be held in some suspense. --- You know someone has a new costume, but you don't know much about it or have never seen pictures of it.

building a custom saber

I'm thinking about putting together a custom saber. Had a couple questions.

How difficult is it to wire the electronics? Is it just a matter of buying the electronic and installing it into the hilt, or is there actual wiring and soldering involved?

How big is a standard blade? I am finding a good deal on a hilt that says it has space for 1"x48" blade.

So, I know this is a Star Wars board, but I really wanted to show of my Star Trek 2009 movie uniform.
So here is my brother modeling my Star Trek 2009 movie uniform. I am still finishing up the badges, clear coat is drying. The badges will be held on with magnets. I have some work badge magnets that I am glueing to the back of the badge. I am putting a small piece of the shirt fabric behind the opening of the engineering symbol so you don't see the magnetic holder.

I thought I would share some pics I took this weekend of the progress of my Anakin Jedi/Sith costume. I have my black anakin boots, brown pants, brown under shirt, Black cloak, took 12 yards of fabric. My leather Anakin Jedi belt. All that is lef t to make is the Tunik and cloth under belt, which I am making both in black black. This is my brothers lightsaber, mine is red. I am going as an Anakin Sith.

Costume Parts Needed!!!

One of the last things I need to do on my Clone is build a more accurate thermal detonator for the back of the belt (the TD I had at MicroCon was just a temporary one).

I need 4-5 keyboard keys to make the buttons on the unit, so please let me know if you've got an old trashed keyboard that didn't make it into the garbage for some reason.

Tenel Ka Lightsaber hilt!

I have been working on a Tenel Ka costume for dragon con. Unfortunately the pieces are coming together slowly because of school. I was able to fit this project in for a class assignment.... so... yay! I'm also working on a stand for it but it's not done yet.
