Serenity RPG Starting up Friday

I've noticed a serious decline in postings in recent months on several on-line forums I visit, including this one. It was even the topic of a post here recently. So I was beginning to wonder why there would be such a precipitous drop in postings on this and other boards. At first I thought perhaps it was just a dead time of year but the trend continued into October which is our busiest month. Meanwhile, I have noticed a huge increase in activity on Facebook. At 11:54 pm October 9, 2009 Kyle Erik Pierson earned his Angel Wings.

He is now in Heaven celebrating with all the Angels.

It is bitter sweet that he is gone. Life will never be the same.

While we do fairly regular character appearances, many over the last few years have been for the Science Museum, Pottery Barn, birthday parties, parades, etc. We do several really cool charity events, like the Big Brothers/Big Sisters event, Hope Day Festival and Salvation Army Bell ringing. A few members have expressed an interest in trying to do more of the charity type funcitons.

I have only had the opportunity to attend one session of craft night, but I cannot say how cool it is that it has taken off the way it did. Seeing some of the results this last weekend... Wow!

This weekend, I also had the opportunity to spend five of my hours in Atlanta preparring for a five minute stage show. As exhausting as it was, I am thrilled to have been a part of it. It has really kindled my interest in creating some more memorable exhibition duels.

There has been a number of discussions about some of us wanting to get together and have a party of sorts for those of us who didn't go to the con that shall not be named.
I'm volunteering my place Sunday from 4pm until whenever for said event. I have a grill, a fire pit, a deck, a couple chairs and stuff.
I figured since most people have Monday off, Sunday might be a good night to hang out, plus I'm busy Saturday night.
